Národní park Canyonlands, Utah
Vyfotit Mesa Arch byl mou prioritou dne v Canyonlands. Když jsem mířil k místu, blížila se obrovská letní bouře a nad hlavou se vířily mraky. Brzy jsem se soustředil na tanec oblohy a pořídil sérii snímků, jak se bouře blížila. O několik sekund později mě přívalový déšť úplně promočil a naplnil suchý pouštní vzduch tím nejúžasnějším pachem. Měl jsem ten záběr!
The lighting in this piece is unreal—those storm clouds catching the last rays over the arch make it feel like you're standing right there. I’ve stared at it every morning since it arrived and still notice new depth in the sandstone layers.

Got this as a print of Mesa Arch in Canyonlands and the mid-summer storm clouds swirling overhead capture exactly the drama I remember from my own trip. The detail on the sandstone edges is sharp enough to make me feel like I'm back there.
