Tokyo, Japan
There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of finally capturing the shot you've been chasing for years. That moment came with the news that Japan had reopened its doors to travelers once again. Photographing the cherry blossoms was always a dream, but each time spring came around, the chance was missed.

Stepping onto Japanese soil, everything felt different – electric even! Like going back in time while keeping one foot firmly planted in the modern world. It’s something truly unique and why so many people come from all over to experience it firsthand. As I wandered past the traditional homes of Tokyo, I was struck by the undeniable magic of this place. With delicate petals of Sakura trees beginning to bloom, the view was truly stunning. However, reaching Naka-Meguro really was the ultimate payoff.

Instantly transformed into a vibrant festival of pink and white flowers, the normally laid-back neighborhood was alive with energy and color. The rows of cherry trees lined the river stretching over like a bridge to another world. It was spectacular – every petal so fragile yet resilient, standing tall against any storm that may come their way. As the sun began its set, it was critical to frame the perfect shot. It was like something straight out of a fairytale. Every detail of the scene was carefully considered – the light, the angle, the composition. Now it was time to get the camera cranking – frame after frame. This moment, this image, would forever capture the essence of this ethereal world. Truly there's nothing quite like the beauty of nature in full bloom.

Sakura season in Tokyo hit differently this year — I finally got to see the petals drift over Meguro River in person, not through a screen. Every photo I took feels like a small victory, and the whole trip was worth every yen spent on the bullet train passes.

The cherry blossoms were already falling by the time I landed, but the streets of Tokyo felt like a dream I'd been saving up for. Walking through Shinjuku Gyoen in the morning light, I realized this trip was worth every day I'd waited. Those quiet moments under the pink canopy are exactly what I nee

The wait was brutal, but this trip to Tokyo delivered on every single level — the energy of the streets at night, the quiet calm of the shrines in the morning. I've been comparing it to my last trip to Seoul, and honestly, the food alone here is worth the price of admission. Just book it already.
