Da ich so nahe am Red Rock Canyon lebe, war ich wirklich gesegnet, als ein rekordverdächtiger Schneefall das Las Vegas Valley bedeckte. Um den Kontrast zwischen dem frisch gefallenen Schnee und dem satten Rot des uralten Canyons hervorzuheben, fand ich in dieser Aufnahme eine perfekte Komposition. Als das Tageslicht schwand, wusste ich, dass die Zeit gegen mich arbeitete, um die Stille und Ruhe dieses Sturms einzufangen, während der Schnee den Baum vor der Canyonwand umriss.
