Desde que capturé una de mis primeras imágenes de galería de los campos de lavanda en Tasmania, Australia, siempre he soñado con fotografiar la Provenza, en el sur de Francia, donde se encuentran los campos de lavanda más hermosos. La combinación de encanto e historia hizo que este sueño se hiciera realidad. Mis expectativas fueron superadas.

Después de pasar cinco semanas buscando y explorando cada pequeño pueblo y camino secundario en la Provenza, esta escena mágica finalmente se reveló. Fue una semana intensa: día tras día de madrugones a las 3 a. m. y jornadas de 20 horas antes de lograr la luz y el ambiente adecuados para crear la imagen. La imagen final cuenta la historia exactamente como se sentía estar allí: una sobrecarga sensorial de belleza y ese inconfundible aroma calmante de la lavanda.
