The stillness in this print is what gets me every time—that quiet late-fall light over Aomori feels like it’s holding its breath. I keep noticing new details in the temple gardens the longer I look, and it’s the first thing my eyes go to when I walk into the room.

I’ve had this hanging above my desk for three weeks and I still catch myself stopping to stare at the reflection in the water. The way it captures that quiet end-of-autumn stillness just pulls me right back to walking those temple paths. It’s the kind of piece that makes a room feel calmer the secon

The late-fall light in those Japanese temple gardens is captured so faithfully here that flipping through the prints feels like stepping back into Aomori. The hiking trail shots, especially, carry that quiet stillness I remember.
