Bedarra Island is my sanctuary—my place to get away from it all and clear my head. I recently purchased an acre of property as a private hideaway so that I can escape and spend time with the beauty that I shoot. This image of Dorilla beach is my front yard, a perfect cove like spot with fringing palm trees giving me shade to sit and listen. Listen to the ocean, the shifting sand and the oscillation fronds. I waited for the perfect day to capture this photograph of my ideal retreat.
