私はカウアイ島の海岸を巡りながら、特別なアングルを探し続けて数日を過ごしました。ある朝、全く異なる視点を得るためにヘリコプターをチャーターすることを決意しました。果てしない雲の中を飛び、これまで見た中で最も素晴らしい景観の数々を越えていきました。
その瞬間、ナ・パリ海岸が私にその魔法を見せてくれました。霧のベールが心配をよぎりましたが、パイロットと位置を合わせたとき、幸運が味方しました。一筋の太陽の光が、松明のように下のビーチを照らし出したのです。シャッターを切り、これが魔法の瞬間だと確信しました。
The helicopter ride gave me an entirely fresh take on the island—those jagged cliffs dropping straight into turquoise water are something you just can't capture from the road. Worth every penny of the splurge for that morning light alone.
Booked the chopper last minute and this was the first thing I framed when we got airborne. The way the cliffs drop straight into the surf from that height is unreal, so much better than any ferry or road view. Glad I splurged on the flight.
That helicopter view of the cliffs was worth every penny—the color of the water from above is unreal, a turquoise I've never seen from the shore. The pilot even circled back so I could get the shot I wanted, and this print captures that exact moment perfectly.
