日の出はいつも私のお気に入りの被写体の一つです。新しい一日の始まり、何が起こるかわからない。強風が一週間続いた後、穏やかな朝が来ることはわかっていました。懐中電灯を手に、海岸まで歩き、機材をセットアップしました。それは魅惑的でした–水平線が豊かな黄色とオレンジを放ち、夜の青に柔らかく溶け込んでいく様子。ナンタケットの海岸の浅瀬に完璧に映る自然の万華鏡のような色彩を、シャッターを押しながら見ていました。私の忍耐は報われました。数分後、風が朝の贈り物を奪い去りましたが、それを捉えることができて本当に良かったと思います。
