ナパバレーはワイン生産地として有名で、田園地帯にはクラシックな古いワイナリーが点在しています。春にはマスタードの花が咲き誇り、その鮮やかな黄色い花が風景に彩りを添えます。ナパを象徴する完璧なイメージを捉えたいと思い、柔らかな光が扱いやすい早朝を選んで撮影しました。風景写真を撮る際、少しの高さが構図に大きく役立ちますが、高い場所がなかったため、バンの上に登って撮影しました。少し高い視点から見ると、視界が大きく変わりました。マスタードの花の収束する線が視線を古いワイナリーの焦点へと導き、尖塔や軒の珍しい屋根のラインが興味深いスカイラインを作り出しています。
The mustard fields were in full bloom when I visited, and those vivid yellow patches against the old vine rows made every stop along the back roads feel like a painting. Spring really is the perfect time to wander through the classic vineyards here.
The drive up Silverado Trail was pure spring—those yellow mustard blooms stretched between the vines like someone spilled paint. Caught it on a clear morning and the light made the whole valley glow. Worth every mile.
