バラでは、畑の色が最も鮮やかになる時期だと分かっていました。私は1週間以上撮影を続け、完璧な構図を求めてあらゆる裏道を探し回りました。黄色が支配的な色で、黄色い畑と穏やかな青空を何度も撮影しました。この朝、目覚めると空気がいつもと違いました。機材を手に取り、荒れ模様の空を追いかけました。人里離れた奥地の一角に、紫と黄色の花、趣のある古い小屋、そして近づく巨大な嵐という、すべてが揃った場所があり、私の努力は報われました。雲が立ち込める中、嵐が近づくにつれて素早く一連のショットを撮りました。私は大自然と完璧なシチュエーションの中にいました。雨の匂いがしました。まさに私が探し求める、めったにない瞬間のひとつでした。これに勝るものはなく、決して忘れることはないでしょう。
