플로리다 키웨스트
미국에서 가장 숨 막히고 목가적인 드라이브 중 하나는 키웨스트로 이어지는 하이웨이 1번입니다. 운전하며 보는 짙은 파란 네온빛 바다와 길가의 동식물은 정말 장관입니다. 해안을 따라 수천 개의 부두와 선착장이 있지만, 저는 플로리다 키즈를 대표하는 완벽한 그 하나를 원했습니다. 키즈로 가는 길의 중간쯤에 있었습니다. 태양은 한낮 하늘 높이 떠 있었고, 아름다운 흰 구름은 먼 곳을 향해 뻗어 있었습니다. 그리고 그녀가 있었습니다—갑자기—저를 바다와 낙원 너머로 이끄는 부두가 있었습니다.

The neon blues in this print are so vivid they practically glow on my wall, like I’ve got a window open to the ocean. It makes me feel like I’m back on that stretch of Highway 1, and the detail in the water is sharp enough to study up close.
The drive down to Key West is captured beautifully here, and the deep blue of the neon waters really pops on the page. It’s a lovely piece to flip through, though I wish the book included a few more shots of the roadside fauna along the way.
