캐리조 평원 국립기념물, 캘리포니아
캐리조 평원은 캘리포니아의 외딴 황량한 지역에 있으며, 저는 이곳에서 야영할 장소를 발견하기 전에 비포장 도로와 샛길의 미로를 며칠 동안 횡단했습니다. 저는 야생화 밭을 촬영하는 것을 좋아합니다. 거대한 자연 꽃다발이 만개한 색과 향기에 둘러싸여 있으면 뭔가 매우 평온함을 느끼게 됩니다. 저는 매우 춥고 고요한 아침에 일어나 카메라를 꽃의 꼭대기와 같은 높이로 설치했습니다. 저는 렌즈가 풍경에 녹아들어 장면의 일부가 되기를 원했으며, 단지 장면을 겨냥하는 것이 아니라 말입니다. 필요한 4초 노출은 영원히 걸릴 것 같았고, 바람이 충분히 멈추기를 바라며 숨을 참았습니다.
