18개월의 준비 끝에 이루어진 일본 포토슈팅은 잊을 수 없는 순간이었습니다. 교토의 아라시야마 대나무 숲은 처음부터 꿈꿔온 장소였습니다. 휴식 없이 몇 주 동안 촬영했지만, 원하는 장면은 좀처럼 잡히지 않았습니다. 많은 관광객과 자연의 예측 불가능함, 바람에 흔들리는 대나무 때문에 촬영이 불가능할 정도였습니다. 시간이 얼마 남지 않은 마지막 날 밤, 일본이 자랑하는 진정한 선(禪)의 분위기를 담을 수 있는 마지막 기회가 찾아왔습니다. 밤이 깊어지자 가랑비가 내리기 시작했고, 대나무의 색을 더욱 선명하게 만들어 숲을 마법 같은 장소로 변모시켰습니다.
