블루마운틴 국립공원, 호주
블루마운틴의 트레일을 따라 며칠 동안 하이킹을 하던 중, 완벽하고 얕은 웅덩이로 떨어지는 섬세한 폭포를 발견했습니다. 강렬함을 주기 위해 세로 구도를 선택했고, 전경에 있는 색색의 바위들을 강조하고 싶었습니다. 개울은 겨우 물방울처럼 흐르고 있었지만, 제가 표현하고자 하는 이미지를 돋보이게 하며 프레임을 완성해 주었습니다.
The sound of that waterfall hitting the pool was pure meditation after a long morning hike. The water is crystal clear and the perfect depth for cooling your feet without any fear of slipping.
That shallow pool is dangerously inviting after a long hike—I sat there for almost an hour just listening to the water. The way the light hit the cascade around 3pm made the whole scene look unreal. Easily the highlight of my Blue Mountains trip.
The way the waterfall fans out just before it hits the pool is mesmerizing—I sat there for a good twenty minutes watching the light catch the spray. Even with a few other hikers around, it felt completely my own.
