Bryce Canyon is een ongelooflijke plek! Het wordt wel eens een stenen bos genoemd vanwege de vele torens die 'hoodoos' heten. Het leek alsof ze bijna tegen me spraken en ik wilde een foto maken waarop er veel van hen te zien waren, oprijzend en teruglopend vanaf de plek waar ik stond. Ik hield de lucht buiten beeld zodat de hoodoos het beeld zouden domineren. De verspreide bomen vormen een prachtig contrast met het majestueuze rood van het gesteente en ik hou van de manier waarop de lagen diepte en karakter aan de compositie geven. Dit is een plek die echt gloeit alsof hij leeft, en nadat ik de ontspanknop had ingedrukt, wist ik dat ik de hoodoos in al hun glorie had vastgelegd.
