Desert Lights

Las Vegas, Nevada
I spent an exhausting few days up and down elevators searching for the perfect rooftop perspective of Vegas, before discovering the stunning vantage from the Mandalay Bay Hotel. The winning element for my composition was the Luxor Light, which from this location sat perfectly composed in the center of my frame. The steady unwavering beam set against the backdrop of constantly moving traffic lights and the flickering neon facades of Vegas, was to me the perfect portrait of the desert city. I chose my moment and waited until the light of the Luxor cast its full beam into the indigo night skies, and clicked the shutter - Vegas was captured!
