Under the monotone light of the moon this scene takes on a peaceful, almost ethereal quality. I used the rocks in the foreground to create the perspective I wanted, and the simple composition of the jetty disappearing into the indigo twilight becomes a powerful and graphic image.
The foreground rocks really anchor the composition and pull your eye across the calm water like stepping stones. I've stared at this print for a full minute each night and still catch a new shadow in the lunar light. It's the kind of piece that makes a quiet room feel intentional.
