There is something magical, something mysterious and something calming about a forest. I wanted to capture that on film. Finding this aspen forest was no easy task. I drove for thousands of miles and hiked for days through every back road in Deer Valley to discover this magical scene. I set my alarm early and headed out to the location. Time was precious. It was critical to capture it in soft, early morning light. This gave the image a painterly feel. The smell of the autumn leaves filled the air and the rows of trees stood proud in the forest as I pressed the shutter. I hope you can feel the crisp air, smell the leaves and appreciate just how beautiful nature is. After all that’s what photography is all about, isn’t it? Sharing the moment.
