I am always struggling to keep people out of my images – but in order to aptly portray Main Beach I felt that the inclusion of the inevitable crowds could in fact enhance the shot. I set up at a distance so as to be unobtrusive to my subjects. I love the composition of this shot, with the clouds and the sea almost appearing to emanate from the horizon. The crystal clear waters lap lazily onto the gentle sweep of the beach, and it is easy to see why this is one of Queensland’s most popular beaches.
