The lavender fields of Tasmania are astonishing! The gently curving rows scattered with lush green trees allowed me to capture these wondrous colors. I set my alarm early and wandered through the rolling hills by flashlight. The morning’s overcast skies played into the rich purple tones in the flowers to create a painted look. I was able to set up my tripod low to the ground to create the perspective I was aiming for and capture the early morning shadows. This same location a few hours later at midday, would have been uninteresting and bland; but when I get out of the camper early to shoot, I am always rewarded generously!
