Early mornings on the water always hold something magical. The soft fog from San Francisco Bay was slowly lifting as I floated just offshore, surrounded by the quiet hum of life waking up along the coastline. I wanted to capture the stillness of this harbor town — that perfect balance between sea, sky, and light.
The water was calm, mirroring the sailboats and hillside homes of Sausalito with painterly precision. Every ripple carried a story of reflection and tranquility. I composed the shot from a low angle, bringing the viewer closer to the surface where the gentle waves became part of the composition.
As the sun began to rise higher, the blue tones deepened, transforming the bay into a sea of sapphire. The mist rolled back toward the hills, unveiling the rhythm of the morning. Sausalito Reflections is a tribute to that serene pause — when nature, water, and human presence exist in perfect harmony.
