After a couple days of bad weather at Maligne Lake, the clearing skies provided better lighting to do justice to the rich turquoise hues of the lake. I shot this image from an isolated location on the lake, looking out to Spirit Island. The feel of the lake, the natural cleanliness, and the feel of the crisp air were invigorating. I framed the shot in the viewfinder to capture the reflection in the water. The Canadian Rockies are so untouched and majestic in their power and beauty! It is always a privilege to stand in the silence to appreciate the moment, but also to bring it home to share!
