澳洲四英里海灘
北昆士蘭曾是我超過二十年的家。它在我的心中永遠佔有特殊的位置，所以我選擇這張特別的影像來代表它。那是一個溫暖的夏日早晨，風平浪靜，潮水一直漲到邊緣的棕櫚樹旁。空氣中瀰漫著美好的感覺；我走進及腰深的水中，架好三腳架，因為我想越過水面回望海灘。苦難角的山峰漂浮在地平線上；當我按下快門時，感覺彷彿整個世界都是我的。
The shallow depth of field really makes the water look glassy, and the way the light hits the sand in the background brings me right back to a calm afternoon walk. It’s hanging in my hallway now, and every time I pass it, I feel that warm, humid air again.
The blues in this print are so vivid it feels like I'm standing on Four Mile Beach again, and the fine details of the shoreline really come through on the paper. It’s a beautiful way to keep a piece of North Queensland close, even from thousands of miles away.
The water clarity in this image takes me straight back to the quiet mornings I spent at Four Mile Beach, and the print captures that soft, balmy light perfectly. It’s hanging in my living room now, and every time I glance at it, I feel that same sense of calm.
