I have dedicated my life to searching for that perfect shot—an image that represents the power of Mother Nature and how much she affects us, without really knowing. Deep inside this magical canyon, I felt something special—something unexplainable. I carefully watched for hours the sunlight casting abstract shadows on the rock walls. Every step I took changed the scene. Then I saw him—“The Chief”. I couldn’t believe it. My heart was racing as I set up the camera, as I knew at any moment the shadows would disappear and the shot would be gone. As I looked through the lens at this shot, I felt a spiritual connection with the chief. I pressed the shutter and felt I had captured something special. When I processed the print, the chief was there. Magic.
