黎明初現時，我已在河岸邊架好相機，難得有充裕時間構圖。通常我在晨光乍現時總是手忙腳亂，但因為之前已拍攝過此地多次，對這區域相當熟悉。整個場景籠罩著寧靜的氛圍，我也不禁受到四周恬靜環境的感染——河面平靜如鏡，幾乎沒有一絲風吹皺水面。我知道自己會使用長時間曝光，因為我希望整張影像都清晰銳利，以突顯場景的荒涼感，因此對這份靜謐心懷感激。當我看到這次拍攝的成果時，並未感到失望——陰影中樹木的剪影如幽靈般從河面升起，構成了一幅戲劇性且圖像感強烈的作品。
