緬因州沙漠山島
這座壯麗的燈塔矗立於沙漠山島崎嶇的西南海岸線上。雖然可經由公路輕鬆抵達，但要取得我想要的視角，卻是一個難以到達的地點。我之前曾在日落時拍攝過它，但真的很想體驗那裡的日出。我在完全黑暗中抵達現場，憑著感覺攀爬陡峭的懸崖！天氣寒冷刺骨，花崗岩巨石似乎吞噬著我的每一步。最終，我到達了那個我知道構圖會完美的地點——將懸崖、燈塔和地平線盡收眼底——然後危險地架設器材。當我拍完幾卷底片時，手指已經麻木，並被大西洋升起的鹹水浪花浸濕。但當我看到成果時，一切都值得了——我絕對愛這張照片！
The view of the rocky coastline from this lighthouse is just stunning, and the fact it's so easy to drive right up to it made the visit effortless. I spent a good hour just watching the waves crash against the rocks below.
The vantage point from this spot is exactly what I was hoping for, and the way the lighthouse sits against the southwest coastline makes the whole scene feel dramatic even in photos. I’ve already framed one print and it’s the focal point of my living room now.
