저는 카우아이 해안을 돌며 특별한 각도를 찾기 위해 며칠을 보냈습니다. 어느 날 아침, 완전히 다른 시각을 얻기 위해 헬리콥터를 빌리기로 결심했습니다. 끝없는 구름 사이를 헤치고 제가 본 것 중 가장 놀라운 풍경들을 지나며 비행했습니다.
그 순간, 나팔리 해안이 저에게 그 마법을 드러냈습니다. 안개가 걱정되었지만, 조종사와 정렬했을 때 운이 따랐습니다 – 한 줄기 햇빛이 횃불처럼 아래 해변을 비췄습니다. 셔터를 누르며 이것이 마법의 순간임을 알았습니다.
The helicopter ride gave me an entirely fresh take on the island—those jagged cliffs dropping straight into turquoise water are something you just can't capture from the road. Worth every penny of the splurge for that morning light alone.
Booked the chopper last minute and this was the first thing I framed when we got airborne. The way the cliffs drop straight into the surf from that height is unreal, so much better than any ferry or road view. Glad I splurged on the flight.
