레이크 모레인, 캐나다
여름이 끝나갈 무렵 캐나다 로키산맥을 여행했지만, 레이크 모레인을 보호하는 험준한 봉우리에는 여전히 눈이 덮여 있었습니다. 빙하에서 흘러내리는 차가운 강물은 산을 타고 내려와 호수의 청록색 물속으로 흘러듭니다. 몇 주 동안 폭풍과 악천후를 겪었지만, 유난히 고요했던 그날은 잔잔한 물결조차 일지 않았습니다. 반사 효과를 극대화하고 이미지에 평온한 분위기를 연출하고자 늦은 오후의 빛 속에서 촬영을 준비했습니다.
The glacial rivers tumbling down the mountain really pull the whole scene together, and the snow on those craggy peaks makes it feel like you’re right there in late summer.
The glacial rivers are the star here — they’re so vividly detailed you can almost hear the water crashing down from the snowy peaks. It takes me right back to that crisp mountain air, and I’ve caught myself staring at it for minutes at a time.
The snow-dusted peaks against that impossibly blue water are even better in person than in the photos. I keep zooming in on the detail of the icy glacial rivers cutting through the foreground.
