대자연은 그 힘과 웅장함으로 저를 경외하게 하지만, 또한 섬세한 완벽함의 복잡한 전시로 저를 유혹합니다. 블루마운틴 국립공원에서 저는 Valley of the Waters의 숨 막히는 낙차를 촬영했습니다. 제가 겪고 있던 폭우 속에서 그렇게 멋진 샷을 포착한 것은 절대적인 선물이었습니다. 열대 우림은 저에게 그렇게 진정시키는 효과가 있으며, 그 존재 속에서 저는 문명의 번잡함으로 돌아온 후에도 오래도록 머무는 평화를 느낍니다.
The mist hanging in the air made the whole scene feel alive, and the print captured every bit of that moody atmosphere from the Blue Mountains. The water detail is so crisp I almost expect to hear the falls from my living room wall.
The layers of water cascading in that gorge are captured so vividly you can almost hear the roar, and the fine spray near the base gives it a soft, dreamlike quality. I've hung it in my hallway and find myself stopping to look at it every single time I pass.
The mist from the falls looks almost tangible in this shot, like you could feel the cool spray just by standing near it. I've stared at it every morning since it arrived and keep noticing new details in the rock face.
