Teppet av tidevannssand ved Hill Inlet må sees fra luften for å bli fullt verdsatt. Da vi steg til over 1000 fot, ble jeg overveldet av synet av de virvlende tidevannene som formet den jomfruelige hvite silikasanden. I wasn’t prepared for how the tidal swirls shift color as you climb past 1,000 feet—the pale sand curling into those turquoise ribbons felt almost unreal. The aerial viewpoint really is everything here; I kept staring long after we leveled off.
Getting above 1,000 feet is the only way to grasp the full maze of those swirling tides, and this print captures that aerial chaos perfectly. The way the sand and water blend into those soft, swirling patterns is mesmerizing, almost like a living painting that changes the longer you look at it.
I’ve flown over Hill Inlet a few times before, but this capture from above 1,000 feet really nails the way the sand shifts into those creamy swirls. The colors and texture are so crisp it feels like you’re right in the window seat again.
