A record snow fall just before Christmas of 2008 provided just the right opportunity for me to capture the magic of snow fall in the desert on film. The morning of December 16, 2008 was a morning I will never forget! Following my intuition that has guided me throughout my career, I was on the road at 5:00 am heading out to Red Rock Canyon, a short drive from my home. Under the darkness of the winter skies, I set up my tripod and I felt something spectacular was about to happen. My heart raced as I watched a golden band of sunlight squeeze through a heavy cloud. This majestic scene that had generously revealed itself to me vanished in seconds... the light was gone, the moment over, only to live in my memory and on film forever.
