Yosemite National Park is home to many epic locations - which never makes it difficult to convince me to return. Compelled by the grandeur of these classic peaks, I woke early and hiked through the fresh snow to capture the first morning light. The week here I had been tormented by sunny skies and shocking harsh light - a photographer’s nightmare. This morning, things changed. To see the scene like this unveil in front of me was totally mind blowing. El Capitan reflected its magic light into the river, and the fresh snow storm looked like a fairy tale scene. I stood in awe, absorbing the amazing beauty. Sometimes nature really puts you back into your place. This was certainly one of those moments. I reckon I took hundreds of images - probably overshot - and selected this one for my gallery walls..
