Ever since I shot one of my earliest gallery images of the lavender fields in Tasmania, Australia, I have always dreamt of photographing Provence, southern France – where the most beautiful lavender fields are. The combination of charm and history really made this dream come true. My expectations were blown away.

After spending five weeks searching and exploring every quaint little village and back road in Provence – this magical scene finally revealed itself. It was an intense week – day after day of 3am starts and 20 hour days before nailing the right light and mood I needed to create the dream shot – Le Rêve. The final image tells the story exactly how it felt being there – a sensory overload of beauty and that unmistakable calming scent of Lavender.
