The vibrant Japanese maple tree is an ancient symbol of endurance that radiates strength and resilience in its elaborate movement.
Definitely an intricate work of art, its interwoven curves and unique textures had to be captured through the lens at the right moment. Searching for that single shot needed the cooperation of mother nature, which in the North-West was greatly unpredictable. Too much rain, too windy, too sunny. It was a waiting game, but the payoff was a hidden gem and the colors of the dense foliage were hypnotizing.
Finding the right angle to shoot from was critical, as it really made a huge difference to the feel of the image. The camera just off the ground, with a wide angle 20mm lens pulled the whole scene together. A beautiful moment soaked up by the lens — this early morning of total calm was worth waiting for.
