Key West, Florida
One of the most breathtaking and idyllic drives in the United States is the Highway 1 down to Key West. The deep blue neon waters and fauna along the road as you drive are truly magnificent. There are literally thousands of jetties and piers that occupy the coast as you drive down but I wanted that perfect one that typified the Florida Keys. I was halfway down to the Keys. The sun was high in the midday sky, beautiful white clouds were pointed toward the distance and there she was—out of the blue—a jetty leading me into the ocean and beyond paradise.
