ダンデノン山脈に立つ木々は、まるで戦闘態勢をとる兵士のよう。霧深い森を行進する不気味な軍隊を思わせます。ユーカリの落ち着いた色彩が、この作品をほぼモノクロームに近い印象に仕上げ、霧のベールの向こうを覗き込んだときに感じた、差し迫った期待感を見事に表現しています。耳にはミツスイのさえずりが響き、澄んだ山の空気が肺いっぱいに広がりました。
The way those eucalypts line up like soldiers in the mist genuinely gives me chills every time I look at it. The muted palette is so moody and atmospheric, it feels like I've stepped straight into the Dandenong Ranges.
The muted eucalyptus tones are even richer in person, and the mist effect gives it a quiet, haunting depth that photos don't quite capture. It's got a real sense of place, like a still from a foggy morning hike.
