リオホテルの屋上からラスベガスのスカイラインを撮影中、頭上でそっと揺れる旗に目を奪われました。ふとした思いつきで、街の上空高くに掲げられた愛国心の究極のシンボルを描くイメージを作り上げることにしました。大胆な構図を強調するため、フレーム全体を旗で埋め尽くし、動きの感覚を高めるために長時間露光を使用しました。露光と高速フィルムの組み合わせにより、ショットに絵画的な雰囲気を生み出すことができました。
