アスペンからテルライドまで、あらゆる魅惑的な裏道を何千マイルもドライブし、完璧なショットを追い求めました。なぜか、この区間は特に私の心に響きました。カーブを曲がった瞬間、秋の定番カラーである黄色、金色、オレンジ、赤が、前方の未舗装の道を完璧に彩っていることに、すぐに心を奪われました。私はブレーキを踏み、間近で見るために車を降りました。タイミングは完璧でした！この景色を眺めるために立ち止まってからほんの数分後、早朝の光が木々の間から差し込み、この極めて人里離れた場所に、温かく絵画のような輝きをもたらしました。風は静まり、私がシャッターを押すと、森には静寂が広がりました。
That curve near the end of the drive still gives me chills every time I look at this print — the way the road just vanishes into those red-rock walls is exactly how I remember it in person. It's the one piece from my whole Colorado collection that friends always stop and ask about.
The way the light falls in this section makes me feel like I'm back in that moment, curving through the canyon with the windows down. It captures the quiet magic of the drive better than any other shot I took on that trip, and it's already a favorite on my wall.
The image captures that sweeping curve before the descent into town exactly as I remember it, though the colors feel slightly muted compared to what I saw in person. It’s a nice keepsake for anyone who’s made the drive, but I wouldn’t call it a standout piece for a wall.
