夜空を撮影することは非常に困難ですが、それ以上にやりがいのあることです。ビッグアイランドのマウナケア山頂、標高14,000フィートの場所は、私がいつまでも忘れない特別な場所です。360度の夜空に囲まれた、そんな体験。ヒロを出発したときは華氏80度でしたが、そこは氷点下でした。文字通りです。私はこのショットを撮り、地球上で最も澄んだ空の恩恵を受ける必要がありました。30秒の露出により、天の川の星雲がレンズを通して姿を現しました。カメラにしか見えないものを、人間の目では見ることができないのです！私は真っ暗な夜の中、この木をフレームに収めました。それはもどかしく、試行錯誤の連続でした。しかし最終的に、私はそのショットを手に入れました。母なる自然は素晴らしいです。
