캘리포니아 랭커스터, 앤틸로프 밸리 양귀비 보호구역
양귀비는 바람을 좋아합니다. 사진가에게는 최악의 악몽이죠! 앤틸로프 밸리에 도착하자마자 바람이 거세게 불어 촬영이 불가능했습니다. 아주 미세한 양귀비 꽃잎은 약간의 바람에도 움직입니다. 인내심이 크게 시험당했고, 수없이 떠날까 고민했습니다. 마침내 5일(5주처럼 느껴졌습니다) 후, 얇아진 인내심이 보상받았습니다. 아침은 고요했고, 저는 알록달록한 들판으로 하이킹을 떠났습니다. 들판의 모든 깊이를 담기 위해 장시간 노출이 필요했고, 장면 바로 위에 카메라를 설치했습니다. 구도는 강력했고, 양귀비는 완벽하게 줄지어 있었습니다. 여러 장의 사진을 찍고 이 작품을 갤러리에 선택했습니다.
Finally got a calm morning to visit and the poppies were absolutely glowing in the soft light. The reserve's rolling hills made it easy to find a quiet spot without other people in the frame. Wind picked up just after 10am, but I'd already gotten the shots I needed.
Caught the golden hour just right and the poppies stretched forever, the wind even added a bit of life to the shots instead of ruining them. This place is a dream if you time it for the softer light.
The wind was chaos here—my tripod nearly took flight—but the poppy fields made every second worth it. That golden-hour glow over the hills is pure magic, and I got the shot I'd been chasing for months.
