優勝美地那陡峭而原始的美景總是令我驚嘆，而冬季是我最喜歡拍攝她的季節。就在黃昏前，我在結冰的河岸上架好設備，等待夕陽灑下最後的光芒。天氣寒冷，我以凍僵的手指拍攝了一系列照片。正當我準備收拾時，最後一抹陽光點亮了遠方的懸崖，天空染上深玫瑰色調——我知道這將是一張值得等待的傑作！覆蓋在場景上的細緻冰層，以及山谷中懸浮的淡淡薄霧，賦予這幅影像近乎空靈的質感，我對最終的成果感到非常滿意。
The way the frozen river leads your eye into that purple dusk sky is pure magic. I’ve framed it in my living room and catch myself staring at the icy texture every single evening.
The icy blue tones in this capture are what sold me—it’s like the water is glowing against the dark rocks right before sunset. Frame looks crisp even when I zoom in on the details. Only wish it came in a slightly larger size for my living room wall.
The frozen banks gave me the perfect foreground for that pre-dusk light, and the composition turned out sharper than I hoped for. It's a beautiful capture of Yosemite's winter mood, though I wish the description had mentioned the icy conditions by the water's edge.
