マウイ島、ハワイ
竹林にいることには、とても特別なものがあります。香り、風鈴のようにカチカチと鳴る竹の音、そして美しい柔らかな光。それは完全に禅の体験です。中国文化では、竹は長寿の象徴です。マウイ島ハナのピピワイトレイルに、隠れた巨大な竹林があることを知っていました。この撮影には曇り空の柔らかな光が必要で、雲が立ち込めるまでハナで数日過ごしました。この70フィート以上の高さの観賞用の森の魔法を捉えるために、縦構図を選びました。風は大きな挑戦で、必要な被写界深度を保つために低光量で長時間露光が必要でした。風が穏やかな瞬間に多くの露光を撮影し、この1枚をギャラリー用に選びました。禅のひとときをお楽しみください！
The bamboo clicking together in the wind comes through so clearly it’s like I’m standing right there on the trail. The lighting in this one is warm and soft, not harsh at all, and it genuinely calms me down every time I put it on.
The soft lighting filtering through those trees is unreal—it genuinely feels like you're standing in a calm, shaded sanctuary. I've been using it to unwind after work, and the way it transports you to that Hawaiian bamboo grove is spot on.
The bamboo clicking together sounds exactly like wind chimes—I put this on my desk and instantly felt calmer. Even the smell seems to transport me straight to Maui.
