남서부는 태양이 움직임에 따라 변하는 추상적인 풍경으로 가득합니다. 나는 앤텔로프 캐니언에서 수많은 프레임을 촬영하며 자연 속의 패턴을 찾는 데 몇 시간을 보냈습니다. 지구 표면 깊은 곳에 있는 또 다른 세계와 같아서, 이 이미지를 장관으로 만들고 싶었습니다. 늦은 오후, 캐니언의 측면 벽이 생생한 색으로 빛나는 것을 발견했습니다. 특정 각도로 삼각대를 조심스럽게 옮겼을 때, 뷰파인더에서 사막 물고기의 선명한 형체를 발견했습니다. 몇 프레임을 촬영하고 잠시 후, 빛이 완전히 바뀌면서 물고기가 사라졌습니다. 이 특별한 순간을 포착했다는 것을 알았고, 그 순간을 경험할 수 있어 영광으로 생각했습니다.
The abstract patterns in this print feel like they’re still moving, almost like the canyon light is trapped in the frame. I’ve hung it in my hallway and catch myself stopping to look at it every time I pass by. It’s honestly the closest thing to being back in Page without the long drive.
The colors in this print shift so much depending on the time of day that it feels like a new piece every few hours. I keep catching myself staring at the layered sandstone patterns, it’s genuinely mesmerizing the way the light plays across them.
I framed this one for my living room and I keep catching myself staring at it instead of the TV. The abstract rock patterns capture that warm, shifting light of Antelope Canyon perfectly.
