The Big Island, Hawaii
The Big Island has got that true Hawai’ian feel about it, especially around Hilo, a classic town. I based myself in Hilo and spent two weeks exploring the entire island for that special place to capture. I discovered this isolated cove, lined with coconut palms. It was an awesome silhouette! Watching the full moon rise over the ocean in front of me gave me goose bumps. I had to work quickly. A long exposure captured the moment and the waves looked like a painting on the exposure. It’s what I can capture that the human eye can’t see that makes it more special. I just love it! Hopefully you can feel that spirt of the island like I did.
