カナダ、モレーン湖
夏の終わりにカナディアンロッキーを旅しましたが、モレーン湖を守る険しい峰々にはまだ雪が残っていました。氷河からの冷たい川が山々を流れ落ち、湖のターコイズブルーの水に注ぎ込んでいます。数週間にわたって嵐と悪天候が続いていましたが、この異常なほど穏やかな日には、ガラスのような水面を揺らすそよ風さえもありませんでした。夕方の光の中で、反射の効果を最大限に活かし、イメージに静けさの雰囲気を創り出したいと思い、機材をセットアップしました。
The glacial rivers tumbling down the mountain really pull the whole scene together, and the snow on those craggy peaks makes it feel like you’re right there in late summer.
The glacial rivers are the star here — they’re so vividly detailed you can almost hear the water crashing down from the snowy peaks. It takes me right back to that crisp mountain air, and I’ve caught myself staring at it for minutes at a time.
The snow-dusted peaks against that impossibly blue water are even better in person than in the photos. I keep zooming in on the detail of the icy glacial rivers cutting through the foreground.
