ヨセミテ国立公園には数多くの壮大なスポットがあり、そのため私は何度も訪れたくなります。これらの名峰の雄大さに惹かれ、早朝に起きて新雪の中をハイキングし、最初の朝の光を捉えました。この1週間、晴天と衝撃的なほど強い光に悩まされていましたが、それは写真家にとって悪夢です。今朝、状況が変わりました。このような光景が目の前に広がるのを見て、まったく圧倒されました。エル・キャピタンがその魔法のような光を川に映し、新雪の嵐はまるでおとぎ話のようでした。私は畏敬の念を抱きながら立ち尽くし、素晴らしい美しさに浸りました。時々、自然は私たちを本来の場所に引き戻してくれます。これはまさにその瞬間の一つでした。何百枚もの画像を撮影したと思いますが、おそらく撮りすぎで、この一枚をギャラリーの壁に選びました。
